We welcome new groups of business analysts (BA) every April and September. All business analysts should have Japanese proficiency at Test N1 level and conversational English capability.
Who should apply
- New graduates of Japanese universities and graduate schools (not PhD candidates) with demonstrated academic success
- New graduates of overseas universities and graduate schools (not PhD or MBA programs) with demonstrated academic success at a competitive school
- Recent graduates (within two years) of university or graduate school (not PhD) with demonstrated academic success
What business analysts do
Business analysts are responsible for individual areas of problem solving on a project. They gather and analyze information as well as meet with client team members, prepare project proposals and communications, and present findings to client top management.
Career path considerations
Two to three years after joining, a BA can receive an offer to gain external leadership experience and pursue an MBA. We provide a comprehensive support system for preparation, tuition, and cost of living. Through this experience, our BAs acquire global leadership, language skill, and structured management skill, while enjoying life and culture outside of Japan before returning to McKinsey.
