Why McKinsey?
I had three key wishes for my professional career: work in sub-Saharan Africa, experience a wide range of changing work topics, and help to “build up” something significant. McKinsey is able to offer all three! In my current study, my team and I are helping a large West African country to define its holistic infrastructure strategy for the next three decades. It is a nice example of the diversity and significance of our work across the continent.
Why Lagos?
Being particularly interested in West Africa, I reckon Lagos to be a formidable “bridgehead” to the entire region. Moreover, it constitutes the heart of one of the most exciting global economies of our time.
Tell us more about yourself:
I am of both German and Malian descent. Having grown up partly in West Africa, I always felt the urge to return to the continent. I love music and toured with a band for more than ten years.
