About Wesley

Wesley is McKinsey’s Melbourne Office Manager and leads our Recovery and Transformation Services (RTS) across Asia. He is also helping to build McKinsey’s Recovery and Transformation Services on a global basis.

He has distinctive knowledge and expertise in radical performance transformation, turnarounds and restructuring across a range of industry sectors including resources (precious metals/minerals, primary metals and bulks), petroleum, retail, consumer, steel, pulp/paper, hi-tech/telco, and industrial products. Wesley’s recent expertise includes:

  • leading a major transformation program for an Australasian-based resources business with operations across Australia and Asia to rapidly turnaround cash, operating, and capital performance
  • delivering a multi-function turnaround of a paper and packaging business to rebase the cost structure, boosting top line performance, and delivering positive cash flow performance for the first time in 5 years
  • supporting a private-equity style performance transformation for a high tech/telco business to bridge their performance gap, sustainably reduce the capital profile, and set the business up for its next stages of growth
  • driving a whole of business turnaround for an Asia downstream petroleum business to sustain top quartile TSR performance

Wesley has worked extensively across Australia, Asia (primarily China, India, Southeast Asia), and the US. He was a co-author of the publication “Leading companies out of crisis—10 tips from a veteran turnaround artist.” Wesley is a Rupert Murdoch Fellow.
