Karl leads our Healthcare Practice in the Northeast United States. He has more than 20 years of experience consulting with health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and provider organizations on strategy development and performance improvement. His experience covers a broad range of projects, from growth strategy and performance improvement to capability building and cost management.

Karl has published articles and thought pieces on corporate strategy development for healthcare companies, consumer-directed healthcare, pharmaceutical and ancillary cost management, new models of payor–provider–supplier partnership, and payment reform. His clients include CEOs, board directors, and C-level executives at major healthcare organizations and private-equity firms focusing on healthcare.

Outside of McKinsey, Karl serves on the board of the New York Foundation for the Arts.
