Sara coleads McKinsey’s work on institutional investing in Europe and leads our work on sustainable investing. She serves organizations ranging from pension funds and private-equity firms to government holding corporations and financial institutions, working across Europe and globally.

Sara supports clients on investment strategy, sustainable investing, performance review, due diligence, risk management, portfolio analysis, operational platform, and organizational transformation.

Over a period of several years, Sara supported a European finance ministry with its annual reviews of government pension funds, including benchmarking performance against leading international pension funds and analyzing overall investment strategy, alternative investments, sustainable investment strategy, governance, risk management, and costs. Her body of work also includes helping a North American pension fund to develop a strategy for sustainable investing; advising a large European pension fund on transforming its organizational structure and investment processes; and supporting a ministry of finance in developing a perspective on environmental, social, and governance risks related to infrastructure investments.
