Leads our Public Sector Practice in Israel and McKinsey’s global work on policing, helping police and security forces harness technology and strengthen operations, organization, and procurement

Yaron is a leader in McKinsey’s European Public Sector Practice and leads our public-sector activity in Israel. He also leads McKinsey’s global knowledge development and client service on policing, bringing deep experience in helping defense and security institutions around the world improve their effectiveness—including operations, organization, technology and procurement.

Yaron’s work with senior leadership of police and security forces globally has included supporting several far-reaching operational transformations. These have helped generate substantial productivity improvement in police stations—for example, in patrols and investigations—and have contributed to more efficient interfaces among different parts of the criminal-justice system.

In supporting ministries of defense, Yaron has helped design and implement several successful procurement improvement programs, particularly in areas of non equipment procurement. One such effort identified savings opportunities amounting to more than $400 million annually, and captured more than $1 billion in actual savings in the first few years.

Outside the public sector, Yaron also advises clients in the financial-services and retail sectors in areas of procurement and service operations.

Before joining McKinsey, Yaron served as a criminal investigations officer in the Israeli Military, and held various positions with Israel’s Ministry of Defense.

Yaron is fluent in English, Spanish and Hebrew.
