About Michele

Michele helps lead our global Pharmaceuticals and Medical Products Practice with a focus on product development and launch. He previously served in Europe where he led McKinsey’s thinking on the impact of economic austerity reforms on the healthcare market.

Michele advises executives in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices, and consumer health companies on strategy, commercial effectiveness, product development, launch, and lifecycle management. He combines real-world scientific experience with commercial expertise to help companies innovate to meet customer needs and work more effectively across divisions.

In recent years, Michele has supported the global launch of numerous new products. He has supported the commercial transformation and capability building to improve medical, sales, and marketing effectiveness, and he has supported two large M&A deals and integration and lends his biomedical expertise to strategic and financial investors. Michele has also counseled industry leaders on the implications of European economic austerity reforms.

Michele has authored white papers on launch excellence and on the impact of economic austerity on the pharmaceutical and healthcare market. Before joining McKinsey, he has published several peer-reviewed scientific papers and book chapters.
