Takuto works extensively in the automotive & assembly, infrastructure, and retail industries, focusing on operations transformation and purchasing & supply management.
With his operational expertise, he has led multiple operations transformations in a wide range of industries from retail, to energy, to automotive. He also has experience in designing and implementing projects on topics such as strategic global sourcing, “design to value” product development, procurement performance improvement, and supply management optimization. He advises clients at both the executive and operational levels.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Takuto was a project manager at a leading automotive company’s global procurement planning division, where he managed cost planning, created procurement strategies, and initiated various cost reduction activities mainly in Japan, South East Asia, and the US.
Takuto is a frequent contributor to McKinsey’s Automotive & Assembly and Operations Practices. He has also hosted multiple seminars on global sourcing, supply risk management, and contingency planning.
