The Business Technology Office (BTO) is a competence-based,
worldwide office of McKinsey & Company. With more than 700 consultants, it is one of the biggest and fastest
growing McKinsey offices. BTO is present in 24
countries in the States, Asia, Middle East, and
Europe. Our main locations in Europe are in Benelux,
Eastern Europe, Paris, Frankfurt, Iberia, London,
Milan, Scandinavia, and Switzerland.
McKinsey founded the Business Technology Office
in 1997, with the goal of helping clients to create
significant value by leveraging technology and
establishing stronger bridges between the business
and IT functions. The BTO helps CEOs, CIOs and
other top managers from leading companies to
run their IT function better, leverage optimally investments
in technology and ensure the alignment of IT with
strategic business priorities.
The BTO organizes its knowledge activities around
two types of practices:
The Swiss BTO location was one of the founders
of today's BTO. Its members are located in Zurich
and in Geneva. Thanks to its international client
portfolio, BTO Switzerland is also one of the
most global locations, offering an interesting
mix of local and international work. The Swiss
BTO has 30 consultants with over 10 different
nationalities.
