About Tomás
Tomás Calleja leads the Operations & Technology group of McKinsey´s European Telecom Practice.
His main areas of expertise within telecommunications are in the areas of strategy, operations, and organizational design. For instance, for the operations area of a large telecom operator, he applied Lean methodology to design and implement a new operating model. For another large telco operator, he developed an integrated program to reduce ADSL churn for the residential and SME segments.
In the areas of organization and strategy, he defined the blueprint of the management model for a telco operator, including implications on the organizational design and the main cultural elements. For a wireline telecom operator he defined the strategy to face competitive and technological challenges, including the articulation of a major transformation program.
