About Richard
Richard brings a global perspective to his work, having worked in McKinsey’s Boston and Silicon Valley offices before heading east to lead the firm’s High Tech and Telecom practice in Seoul.
Richard splits his energies between two distinct but related sectors: consumer electronics and telecom operators. His consumer electronics service extends to companies in the mobile handset, personal computer and television industries. Within these fast-changing sectors, Richard helps companies design and execute globalization strategies, develop and refine new product launches, and conduct branding analysis.
Within telecom, he has supported clients on a range of issues, including growth, new businesses, globalization, and marketing—where his specific contributions have assisted clients in developing their pricing and CRM capabilities. He has served telecom clients throughout the Asia Pacific region, including operators in Korea, Australia, Singapore, and Taiwan.
Richard is a frequent speaker at high-tech and telecom industry conferences, most recently at the sixth Korea Communications Conference where he spoke on “Web Centricity” and "The Future of App Stores.”
