Duarte serves clients in the telecommunications sector across the globe, including Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and South America. His main focus is improving distribution networks and he currently leads the Sales & Channels service line for our European Telecommunications Practice.
Many of his recent projects centered on channel mix management and individual channel optimization spanning stores, agents, franchising, call centers, door-to-door, partnerships, and online channels.
Duarte's recent work in Africa has included overhauling the channel strategy for an Africa telecom operator and conducting a consumer segmentation analysis. In Europe he supported a sales improvement program for a servicing call center, and also developed the commercial and operational roll out of an IPTV strategy for different European companies. In South America, Duarte guided the implementation of a new set of regional sales strategies and developed competitive and pricing strategies for a major mobile company.
Duarte actively contributes to ongoing McKinsey research, frequently speaks at global conferences, and oversees capability development activities.
