About Cindy
Cindy leads our Banking and Risk practices in the EMEA region. She is based in London. Since joining McKinsey in 1992, she has built up extensive experience in helping financial institutions address their most complex business challenges, with a particular focus on risk strategy, enterprise risk management (ERM), and risk culture.
Cindy’s recent projects include helping a large bank revamp its ERM model and transform its risk culture, conducting an enterprise-wide risk review at a leading financial institution in the wake of significant losses, and developing a corporate- and investment-banking strategy for a global bank. She has also counseled clients on major restructuring projects, including the creation of “bad bank” structures.
A frequent speaker at international conferences on risk, Cindy is also a contributor to the McKinsey Working Papers on Risk series. Her insights on risk management have been featured in the Economist and other publications. Before joining McKinsey, she was a corporate-finance analyst at Goldman Sachs, where she worked on a range of M&A, debt, and equity financing transactions.
