About Martin

Martin leads our Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods Practices in Eastern Europe. Based in Prague, he supports clients on strategic and operational topics. He specializes in growth through transactions in retail and fast-moving consumer goods, working with private equity players as well as with strategic owners on commercial due diligence. Over the last two years, Martin has led close to a dozen commercial due diligence projects in retail and fast-moving consumer goods.

Other recent examples of Martin’s work include a market opportunity assessment for a global retailer in which the McKinsey team investigated the Eastern European retail market by format and region, helping the client set strategic priorities in light of total market size, competitive intensity, and profitability. He also led a comprehensive performance improvement effort for a global food retailer, looking at ranging, pricing, and store operations for different formats. Martin has helped many retailers optimize their supply chain management, with an emphasis on forecasting accuracy and store operations.
