About Klaus
Klaus is the leader of our Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods Practices in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Since joining McKinsey in 1991, he has helped leading retailers from a wide range of categories address strategic, organizational, and operational issues.
Klaus works with executives to discover sources of profitable growth and develop dependable growth strategies. Committed to helping clients sustain performance, he helps ensure that business processes and structures will support growth ambitions over the long term. Klaus takes a particular interest in multichannel and digital topics, assisting clients with growth strategies as well as operational turnaround programs. His clients include food and non-food retailers, as well as multi-category retailers and department stores, especially in Western and Eastern Europe.
A co-author of various business books, including Supply Chain Excellence in Retail, Klaus is a co-founder of McKinsey's office in Cologne.
