About Nicolaus

Nicolaus is the leader of our Healthcare Systems & Services Practice globally, based in London.

Nicolaus serves more than 20 health systems around the world on some of their biggest challenges, such as transforming national health systems for better outcomes and reduced cost; capturing the opportunity of digital health care delivery; and integrated care through a population-oriented delivery model.

Nicolaus is involved in a number of proprietary research efforts on “what works” in healthcare. They include what works in healthcare delivery innovation; in integrated care delivery systems; in the strategy and governance of academic medical health systems, and in scaling-up digital healthcare.

He is frequent speaker at major healthcare conferences and global events, and also convenes leading networks of executives in academic medicine, integrated care, and health regions.

Nicolaus serves on the Board of the International Partnership for Innovative Healthcare Delivery (IPIHD) at Duke Medicine, which he also helped found.

Nicolaus teaches executive education classes on healthcare leadership and innovation regularly. He holds a Masters and a doctorate in business from the University of Münster, and a Masters in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. At Harvard, he was a John J. McCloy scholar.
