Manish focuses his work on serving healthcare institutions in the private and public sectors in the US, Asia, and the Middle East and also leads knowledge development and client service in healthcare pricing. Manish specializes in helping healthcare clients on overall strategy, mergers and acquisitions, revenue management, operational improvement, and organizational design and effectiveness. He has also led many business-to-business and business-to-consumer pricing projects in health care and other sectors. He leads our internal knowledge-building efforts on health care pricing, and has given numerous presentations on this topic in various forums.
Among Manish’s clients are large private hospital systems, leading multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, academic medical centers, and sovereign wealth funds with healthcare interests. Some of his recent projects have involved assisting a government health agency in defining a business model that would promote socio-economic sustainability; and helping hospital groups improve their sourcing capabilities and investigate expansion opportunities.
Manish earned a BS in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, and an MS and PhD in the same field from the University of Michigan. He joined McKinsey’s Detroit office in 2001 and moved to Asia in 2010. In Asia, Manish led McKinsey’s Singapore office as Managing Partner and served private and public sector clients in Singapore, China, India, Australia, Malaysia, and Indonesia within the healthcare sector and beyond. He also led our work in pricing for the overall Asia-Pacific region.
He is now based in New York.
