About Biniam
Biniam is a leader in our Public Sector and Social Sector practices. His areas of expertise include organizational effectiveness, leadership, and risk management. He also leads the McKinsey Center for Government’s research on capability building.
Biniam’s recent work includes:
- helping to transform the field offices of a major government agency by building the capabilities of its staff, thus enabling them to improve the efficiency of their processes and put in place a new performance-management approach
- advising a major government agency on the design and implementation of a new risk-management organization and processes
- supporting a government agency in the design of a new operating model to improve delivery of its mission objectives
Based in Washington, DC, Biniam joined McKinsey in 2000. He holds a BA in chemistry from Williams College and an MBA from Northwestern University.
