About Amine

Amine is a leader in our Public Sector Practice in Africa, where he helps direct our work on economic development. He also serves as the regional leader of our Social Sector Practice in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. A citizen of Morocco and Switzerland, he is currently based in Geneva.

Amine advises government leaders on socio-economic development and sector-specific development strategies. He has also worked extensively with clients in the energy and mining industries on a range of strategic and operational issues. Examples of his recent projects include the following:

  • supporting extensive, multiyear economic-development programs for a North African country (18 sector strategies and regional strategies)
  • advising a West African government on energy-sector reform
  • supporting multiyear strategy-development and turnaround efforts at a national mining company and a national oil company
  • working with a West African government to create a comprehensive economic-development strategy
  • supporting multilateral organizations and foundations, with a focus on Africa
  • advising three Eastern European countries on economic development and foreign direct investment
  • supporting Middle Eastern institutions on sector-specific economic development and local content strategies

Amine earned a BS and MS in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne). He also earned an M.Sc. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from INSEAD.
