About Rajesh
Based in Shanghai, Rajesh leads our Pharmaceuticals and Medical Products Practice in Asia. He has supported companies across the healthcare sector on topics such as growth strategy, business building, market access, and R&D. Since joining McKinsey in 1996—following completion of a Phd in chemical engineering—Rajesh’s clients have included leading pharmaceutical and medical-device companies, insurance companies, distributors, and private equity investors. Among recent examples of his work, he helped a global biopharmaceutical company extend its emerging-markets strategy into a number of new territories.
In addition to his work with corporate clients, Rajesh helped lead McKinsey's work with a major regional government on healthcare reform and has worked with leading industry associations to develop perspectives and strategies in the face of a changing regulatory environment.
