About Gautam
Gautam Kumra leads McKinsey’s Organization Practice in Asia. He helps clients drive broad-based transformation programs encompassing strategy, operations, and organization. To underpin this work, Gautam has led a McKinsey research initiative on best practice in such programs.
Gautam has worked with some of India’s leading companies across industries including infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, and telecoms. He has helped these clients define ambitious growth aspirations; deliver integrated transformation programs to improve both operations and organization; restructure for improved performance; and establish new governance models. He has supported the integration process in major mergers.
Gautam has also worked with McKinsey clients in the US, Europe, and elsewhere in Asia.
Gautam is co-founder and a member of the governing board of the Public Health Foundation of India—an innovative public-private initiative to strengthen the country’s public health system by developing human resources and helping shape public policy. He is also a member of the alumni council of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and has helped shape the schools’ vision and funding strategy.
