About Laura
Laura Corb is a leader in the global Media & Entertainment practice. Based in New York, she has worked with business leaders around the world in both new and traditional media—from advertising and marketing to cable TV, newspapers, sports, and telecommunications.
Among recent project highlights, she has helped develop a growth strategy for a diversified media company, including the design of investment frameworks; created tailored customer-segmentation strategies for an entertainment company facing fierce competition; and performed customer-based segmentation and extensive market research for a travel-services provider, leading to a fundamental redesign of its marketing, acquisition, and retention strategies.
Laura has improved the marketing and promotion effectiveness of a leading music company’s domestic and international labels, and defined a new strategy to maximize financial returns for a top sports league, which led to a unanimous decision by the owners to launch a comprehensive new media business.
In addition, Laura advises private equity firms seeking to capitalize on the convergence of media and technology.
Laura has been a member of the Board of Directors of A Better Chance, an educational nonprofit, and a David Rockefeller Fellow. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Ad Council, a private, nonprofit organization that marshals volunteer talent from the media, advertising, business, and nonprofit communities to deliver critical messages to the American public.
