About Dan
Dan is a New York based leader in the Media & Entertainment Practice.
He has developed digital media businesses for television networks, film studios, sports and entertainment businesses, cable MSOs, consumer electronics companies, and publishers. His extensive industry expertise includes a focus on digital marketing, social media strategy, and capability building programs. Dan works with a number of professional sports organizations on topics including growth, sponsorship, strategy, pricing, valuation, and governance.
Dan is the creator of NM Incite, McKinsey’s joint venture with Nielsen for social media intelligence and social marketing. NM Incite combines McKinsey’s digital marketing strategy, organization, and capability building expertise with Nielsen’s industry-leading social media analytics, metrics, and insights.
Dan also leads McKinsey’s Capability For Performance initiative. This effort seeks to build advanced business skills for our clients—via proprietary curricula, eLearning, field-and-forum learning approaches, and experiential learning. Capability building is integral to our digital marketing work.
Dan also serves as the director and treasurer of the Public Theater in New York and is a member of the NYC Investment Fund board and the SBJ Sports Business Awards panel of judges.
