About Jürgen
Dr. Jürgen Meffert is a director in McKinsey's Düsseldorf office where he serves as our global leader of the TMT (Telecoms, Media, Technology) Practice as well as the founder and leader of McKinsey's initiative for medium-sized growth companies. Dr. Meffert serves clients in the telecommunications, high tech, and media industries across the globe, having spent several years working in the US. His currently emphasis is on supporting organizations in EMEA, including South Africa, India, and Korea.
Jürgen serves several of the world's leading communication, equipment, and media companies, collaborating with them on a variety of strategic and operational initiatives. His recent work included supporting major transformation programs, helping client develop and execute their growth and innovation strategies to improving marketing and sales, operations, and organization performance capabilities.
His work has spanned the breadth of the evolving telecommunications and high tech landscapes and includes service to telecommunication companies in the fixed and mobile sectors, equipment manufacturers, software application providers, and media companies.
Jürgen is a recognized thought leader within and outside McKinsey, speaking frequently at technology and business forums. He published and co-authored several books on strategy and innovation as well as articles for several McKinsey publications such as McKinsey's global TMT periodical Recall.
