About Kris
Kris co-leads our work on customer management and serves consumer packaged goods (CPG) and distributor clients in the Americas. Kris serves manufacturers across the sector, and brings extensive experience in soft drinks, baked goods, dairy, salty snacks, tobacco, confectionery, cosmetics & fragrance, and consumer health categories, across a range of strategy and customer management topics. He is the location manager for McKinsey’s Dallas office.
Kris has led more than a dozen commercial transformation efforts for CPGs in the past decade. He has worked extensively in both direct store delivery (DSD) and warehouse environments. He also leads McKinsey’s bi-annual Customer & Channel Management Survey in North America, which benchmarks more than 50 leading CPG manufacturers across their sales and go-to-market practices. Conducted in collaboration with Nielsen and the Grocery Manufacturers Association (GMA), the survey provides an up-to-date perspective on the practices of top-performing CPG companies in areas such as sales strategy, pricing and trade investment, strategic customer collaboration, and complexity management.
A native of Denmark, Kris holds BA and MA degrees in political science from Aarhus University and the New School for Social Research in New York. Kris is active in the performing arts community in Dallas and serves on the Board of the Dallas Symphony.
