About Jörn
Jörn co-leads our Consumer Packaged Goods Practice in Europe. Focusing on strategy, sales, and supply chain, Jörn serves European consumer goods companies and retailers. He is the location manager for McKinsey’s Cologne office.
During his decade and a half with McKinsey, Jörn has specialized primarily in strategy development in consumer industries. His recent engagements include leading the global strategy process for a large apparel company, defining a five-year strategy plan for a leading consumer packaged goods company, and developing a multi-channel strategy for a leading multi-category retailer. Jörn helps his clients to capture growth opportunities and scale advantages. His projects often include M&A and business building activities.
Jörn holds a degree in business administration and international marketing & management from the Saarland University in Germany, as well as a PhD in marketing & sales from the University of Hannover in Germany. Prior to joining McKinsey, he worked at an advertising agency, focusing on marketing and strategy. Jörn has published on how consumer goods companies can streamline their operations without compromising customer service.
