About John
John leads the Chemicals Practice in the Americas. Based in Cleveland, he primarily works with chemical, automotive, energy, and materials companies, advising them on corporate strategy, corporate transformations, marketing and sales, operations, and organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
Among his recent projects, John has helped a chemical company build a detailed commercialization strategy for its new technologies, worked with a steel company to prioritize potential growth markets, advised a chemical client on the transformation of its business model, helped an electric power organization implement cost improvements, and supported a basic materials company on a long-term manufacturing transformation.
Prior to joining McKinsey in 1993, John was a financial analyst at General Electric. He is a member of the Ohio Business Roundtable, and sits on the board of directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Hathaway Brown School.
