About Joël

Joël is a director in McKinsey’s Geneva office and a co-leader of our global Chemicals Practice and Marketing & Sales Practice. He supports leading global corporations in the chemicals, life science, pharmaceuticals, basic materials, energy, and high-tech sectors and has served clients in Switzerland, Europe, the United States, and Japan.

Over the years Joël has developed particular expertise in marketing and sales excellence and commercial transformation. Much of his work involves developing growth strategies, shaping global organizations, advising on post-merger management, and supporting organization-wide transformation.

Before joining McKinsey, Joël held positions in IT and in the fibers division of DuPont. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MSc in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne and Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh.
