About Jakob
Jakob is the global leader of McKinsey’s work in petrochemicals, and also helps lead our Operations practice in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Since joining our Munich office in 2000, Jakob has supported clients all over the world. He is one of the founders of the McKinsey Capability Center network.
Jakob works with chemical companies in North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. He has supported several leading institutions in the process industries on large-scale transformation programs, and has conducted more than 100 site diagnostics— with a focus on core manufacturing processes—to help clients improve their operational performance. Jakob also supports clients as they plan and implement M&A projects, and has worked on a variety of projects focusing on global growth and strategic and tactical improvements.
