About Paul
Paul leads our Business Technology Office in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He works closely with CEOs, CIOs, and other business leaders to maximize the value delivered from IT. He also helps lead our work in advanced analytics.
Recent examples of his client work include the following:
- working with the CEO of a leading global insurer to identify growth opportunities arising from digital technology, including advanced analytics
- helping the leadership team of a European bank to develop and execute a customer value management strategy, using big data to model customer buying behaviors
- designing and establishing a group data management function for a leading European financial service group
- advising the group CIO of a European logistics company on the development of an IT transformation plan that included major changes to IT infrastructure and applications, vendor consolidation, shifts in the project portfolio, and significant additional IT investment
- helping a leading software firm reshape its product-development factory by consolidating sites, vendors, and development platforms
- assisting a European banking group with the business case and plan to centralize IT and consolidate IT platforms.
Prior to joining McKinsey in 1996, Paul worked as an IT architect and project manager at Accenture. A fellow of the British Computer Society, he is also a Chartered Information Technology Professional and a registered representative of the Financial Services Authority.
