How pioneers create value from social media
Social media is more than Facebook. Yes, it’s the top dog. But it’s part of a diverse and rich habitat that provides enterprises with countless opportunities beyond marketing. We have found social media to be relevant along the entire value chain including product development, brand building, sales, service, external communications and human resources.
Why should companies care? Because, much like other societies, social media have long transgressed the realm of interpersonal relationships and become a commercial force to be reckoned with. We surveyed 200 German companies to get a better understanding of how they are creating value in these diverse areas.
