As part of the Eastern European office complex, Warsaw was established to serve the local markets. As a relatively new office, we have only recently started to hold monthly office breakfasts where we gather to hear how our office is doing and meet any new hires. Every year at the end of the summer, we have a boat trip on the Vistula River for everyone. All draughts fans compete in the annual—and prestigious—McKinsey Draughts Competition. After two hours of sailing, we then have a big party somewhere on the riverside.
Our office supports a few clubs, including the Fitness Group where a group of us meet and exercise in various fitness clubs throughout Warsaw. We have a band called Kinky Tinky Winky that performed at the Eastern European office complex retreat. The band was so successful that each member has their own personal fan club. Our most recent retreats were in Crete and Turkey.
We also have the Warsaw Nonprofit Interest Group, made up of people in the office. The mission of the group is to help nonprofits develop and set the highest managerial standards in nonprofit management and to provide innovative tools and resources that will enable organizations to meet the challenges unique to the sector.
