During the last Friday of every month, we hold an office town hall meeting for an update of the state of the office, to meet new people who have joined the firm, network, and socialize. Each year we have seasonal events, including a Christmas party, Children’s Day party, and New Year’s party where we hand out traditional gifts (such as Korean rice cakes).
We have a club of marathon runners, who compete in various local competitions such as the Terry Fox run and the Chooncheon Marathon. Our Associate Club is where associates come together to discuss various issues. Our modern rock band—it’s so new we don’t even have a name yet—has also provided some impressive entertainment at our various parties and events.
Once a year we have an off-site retreat for consultants, their spouses, and children. We’ve been to Bintan, Indonesia; Cebu, the Philippines; and Guam. We have work-related discussions, but also fun games such as “Holey drum,” “Corporate maze,” “Human knot,” and “Longest string.”
