McKinsey’s Rome office is located in a villa off Via Veneto, the famous street consecrated by Federico Fellini's movie "La Dolce Vita." The office is also near Villa Borghese, a unique Roman park that is the site of the Museum Borghese that conserves some of the most prominent Gian Lorenzo Bernini's statues.
We have office lunches and Friday buffets regularly, as well as meetings for women consultants throughout McKinsey’s offices in the Mediterranean—often times business dinners where we invite prominent women in the business community.
Along with the Italian office complex (which includes Milan and Verona), we have annual office retreats to network, build friendships, and discuss the future of the office. Most recently we went to Marrakesh, Morocco, where we tried mint teas and visited the local souqs, among other activities. We’ve also visited Porto Cervo, Sardinia, and Mykonos, Greece, during past retreats where we enjoyed beach volley tournaments, water sports, beach parties, and late nights in local clubs.
