McKinsey’s Cleveland office is in the heart of the city’s downtown, just a few minutes walk from the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame. Despite the city’s relatively small size, it has a lot to offer in terms of culture: the Cleveland Orchestra and the Cleveland Museum of Art are both nearby as well.
The area's quality of life and a natural setting—Lake Erie, an expansive Metroparks network, and plentiful, moderately priced land—have made it possible to choose from a variety of comfortable and affordable living styles.
In addition to our weekly Friday lunches, once a month we have our “Go Big” lunch where someone from the office talks about something near to their heart such as playing the guitar, wine, or driving fast cars. We came together recently for a casino event where we won and lost thousands of (fake) dollars. Our office soccer team has had respectable showings against opposing teams.
We place a lot of emphasis on giving back to the community: we’ve sponsored drives to supply women’s and animal shelters; we’ve raised money for Harvest for Hunger; and we’ve built homes with Habitat for Humanity.
