The Morocco Initiative (a joint venture with the Paris and Madrid offices) was launched in the second half of 2001 with the aim of understanding the overall market potential in North Africa, and possibly laying the foundation for a sustained McKinsey presence in Morocco, as well as building momentum on client activities there.
The initiative proved to be highly successful and officially became a McKinsey office in October 2004.
We have social Fridays where we get together to catch up and discuss topics of interest. Most recently we’ve discussed our women’s initiative—to recruit and support women at the firm—and how to develop an environmentally-friendly office.
During our most recent office retreat, we went to Tangiers in Morocco where we hosted dinners and parties, had team-building events, and discussed how to build on the success of our office.
