McKinsey’s Boston office, one of the smaller ones in the firm, has a collegial atmosphere and an active social life. The social committee arranges parties, get-togethers, and celebrations, such as the Children’s Halloween party, where we have a decoration competition as well as plenty of trick-or-treating; Urban Arts party, featuring modern art, break dancing, and great music; and the Holiday party, a black tie affair with champagne and dancing.
Our book club meets monthly to discuss the latest literature over cocktails while our soccer club plays on the weekends. Our most recent retreat was at the Ritz Carlton in Montego Bay, Jamaica, a 3-day event of discussions, conversations, games, and socializing.
