Athens is a small office that prides itself on its collegiality and the strong relationships between its consultants. The intimate scale of the office allows all consultants to feel an ownership of the direction of the firm in Greece. True to its Greek roots, our local consultants characterize the office as “very democratic.”
Before our office closes at the end of July, we have a summer party on the beach with live music, a buffet, and lots of dancing. Each December we have a Christmas party (every attendee gets a small present).
We also get together more regularly. We often eat together for lunch in the office, and at the end of the week will catch a drink at some impromptu location. Recently we all went to the opera at the ancient Irodio theater, and a group of us keeps in shape on the football team.
As part of the Mediterranean office complex (with Istanbul, Tel Aviv, and Italy), we go on retreats to discuss how to make the firm better and have fun. Most recently we’ve been to Paris, Myconos, Pertouli, and Karpenisi.
