Our office is situated in the heart of the city center—a cozy and intimate building with a roof terrace where you can enjoy panoramic views and a healthy lunch prepared in our own restaurant. Since most office members live nearby, the Friday Office Day often develops into a great happy hour.
We also have planned events such as ski trips, sailing, our own McKinsey Olympics—we field tennis, volleyball, and football teams—as well as special events for foreigners who are working in the office. Every 2 years, we go on a four-day retreat with all consultants and their partners. The bar for both the destination and experience is high: it must be a place where one normally would not go, it has to be a collective experience, and should involve some challenges.
In recent years, we’ve gone to Morocco, Sardinia, Jordan, and Lapland. Amsterdam is a lively but quaint place with convenient access to great museums, restaurants, bars, and distinctive architecture clustered amid the canals that weave through the city.
