Kimberly's perspective

Without the friends she’s made at McKinsey, life in Brazil just wouldn’t be the same for Kimberly. Outside of work, Kimberly and her friends explore all the country has to offer while relaxing on as many beaches as they can find. In her quiet moments, Kimberly tries to squeeze in a little leisure reading while planning trips home to see her family.

September 2013

Hi readers,

I'm back with a short update. I'm excited to share a McKinsey publication I worked on during my year-long rotation with our Sustainability & Resource Productivity practice. The piece is called How to Make a City Great, and I personally feel that it illustrates some of the best work our firm does. (Note: you can now access all published McKinsey research on an iPad app called McKinsey Insights.)

There are many people here serving the public sector around the world to help our clients better serve their citizens. McKinsey also works with a variety of social sector clients, whose primary objectives are to improve the lot of humanity. The results of these projects can be transformative. I know of countless cases and they make me proud to work here.

Kitzbuhel, Austria
I am now packing my bags to head to Europe, and will be attending LEAD II in Kitzbuhel, Austria next week! LEAD II is a one-week training for associates transitioning to an engagement manager role. I'm very excited to see the Alpine University in Kitzbuhel, the frequent training location for our European colleagues.

Keep reading. I may have some exciting updates for you in the next couple of months!

Warmly,

Kimberly
