Hello everyone! I just returned from a lovely vacation week in Rome and started serving my new client in London.
My boyfriend has been working in London for some time so I've managed to work with clients here for the past eight months. One of the things I love about McKinsey is the high degree of flexibility to be where you want, doing what you love, with people that you enjoy. It's really that simple!
During some travels
Every engagement is a new adventure at McKinsey, and every day is a new challenge and opportunity to learn something new. It sounds like a cliché, but it's actually true! It doesn't mean there are not difficult moments at work, but it means that your adrenaline is high at all times and you never get bored with what you do. I can't imagine having an ordinary job again, working behind the same desk and around the same topic every day.
I'm really passionate about telecom and other tech topics that I used to work on as an engineer. McKinsey has really given me the opportunity to discover so many new (to me!) aspects of telecom. Pre-McKinsey, I was designing telephone chips, and now I'm designing the strategy for an entire industry in just one year. How cool is that?
