My first few months back at work

– Hi everyone! Somehow the summer has come and is almost gone! I cannot believe that it went so fast. You may have noticed I haven't provided an update in a while, and I have a pretty good excuse for that: Chris and I welcomed our second son in December. He is awesome! I returned to work in April on a 100% schedule, which has been pretty crazy busy but fun.

In the last few months I have led three healthcare engagement teams working on everything from mergers and acquisitions to clinical operations improvements. My favorite summer "ah-ha" moment at work was sitting in a digital workshop with a large group of hospital executives and demonstrating a proof of concept around patient demand forecasting. The capabilities we are developing will not only help the health system better plan their resources, but will also help ensure that patients are well taken care of and can always rely on caregivers being available and properly trained.

On a personal note, my happiest moments have been seeing my two sons (now three years old and eight months old) build a friendship with each other and interact more and more every day. Summer swimming in the lake at their grandparents' house was a particular highlight—I've included a beautiful picture snapped by my father-in-law over the July 4th holiday.

I'll check back in again in a month or so. Hope you've enjoyed the summer!
