– Meet Elizabeth, a principal in our New Jersey office, and Harvard alum, who joined the firm 8 years ago.
Interviewer: What keeps you at McKinsey?
Elizabeth: My work focuses on leadership training and coaching. It’s meaningful to me and my clients; I get to help people be the best leaders they can be.
Interviewer: What's the one thing about McKinsey you wish everyone knew?
Elizabeth: The people here are amazing, smart, interesting, collaborative and caring.
Interviewer: Tell us your best interview tip.
Elizabeth: Be honest and don't be afraid to be human and have weaknesses. Honesty with flaws is real; people relate to that. It goes a lot farther than polish and perfection – which come off as robotic and unreal. This is as true in life as it is in interviews.
