McKinsey prides itself on creating the best environment for our people. I’ve found a big part of that is due to our support and mentorship mechanisms. My mentors have created opportunities for me to take on new roles and supported and advised me through them so I could succeed. Our leaders truly care.

One of my favorite engagements was helping a large telecom company figure out why their telesales center had higher than average churn, call length and customer dissatisfaction. We diagnosed the problem and created a hybrid digital/real-world solution we deployed in seven weeks. The pilot was so successful that we rolled it out company-wide. I led our team as we combined business analysis, design and technology and our own offshore development center in India. It was awesome to rapidly go from insight to impact. Digital McKinsey has the reach, relevance and team to impact the world’s leading businesses – and that’s what makes it so special.

This week I’ll be at SXSW in Austin. I can’t wait to tell more people about what we are doing here at McKinsey, learn about the latest digital and social trends and meet with old and new friends. I’m not a DJ but I think the “how to remain relevant as a DJ” session will be really interesting.
