Whitney's perspective

Whitney thought she would work in marketing, but surprised herself when she found a passion at McKinsey for healthcare and service operations.  When she's not on the road racking up airline miles and helping transform healthcare, Whitney is spending time with family, friends, and her boyfriend, Jay, in Chicago.

January 2013

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my page! I'm excited to share a little bit of my life with you.

with my boyfriend jay With my boyfriend, Jay

I just got back from some amazing time off with family and friends.  First, for Christmas, I got to see all of my extended family at my Grandmother's farm in Indiana, as well as watch my nephews open gifts from Santa.  Then my boyfriend Jay and I jetted off to Guam to attend the wedding of my friend from business school.  I have to say, Guam is neither close nor easy to get to!  However, we enjoyed the warm weather and I loved catching up with school friends I hadn't seen in a few months - now that they live in New York.  Following the wedding, a large group of us headed to Hong Kong.  I was amazed by how clean and organized such a big city could be.  We celebrated New Year's Eve overlooking the city, watching the fireworks. On the last day, Jay and I took a ferry to Macao, where we went to the Venetian hotel (just like in Vegas) and visited a panda park.

My first week back at work flew by and it was good to see my teammates after the long break.  The most challenging task I had this week was finding a fun team activity to honor my colleague's birthday next week.  It had to be close to our dinner location and it couldn't be something else we'd already done (which included mini golf, bowling, cooking school, and spinning class).  I  found a place with trampoline courts you can rent to play dodgeball.  Next week should be very interesting!
