Bachelor’s degree

Get a head start

Come to McKinsey with a bachelor’s degree, and you'll build leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as a network that will serve you wherever life takes you.

People with bachelor’s degrees join McKinsey as business analysts (sometimes called "fellows" in certain offices). Some stay for 2 or 3 years before attending graduate school or gaining further work experience. Others choose to stay at McKinsey and move directly into an associate role. Whatever your personal passions, we are committed to helping you pursue them.

Connect with leaders
When you join McKinsey, you'll find plenty of different ways to create your personal network. At the Basic Consulting Readiness and Business Analyst Training programs, for example, you’ll meet new colleagues from around the world. And as a full-fledged member of a client service team, you'll work with business leaders and experts inside and outside the firm.

Challenge yourself to grow
You’ll be stretched here, and the experience will help you become an accomplished business professional at an accelerated pace. We will help you build your leadership, problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills. And you'll receive up to 5 weeks of formal training during your first 2 years.

Choose to explore
In your first 2 years or more, you’ll work across a broad range of industries and functions. You’ll build business knowledge, and perhaps find a field that you want to pursue more deeply. You will likely have the opportunity to travel to different countries and work with people from different cultures.
