Step 1: Apply online

The first step to becoming a consultant at McKinsey Angola is to prepare your application. It should include the following:

  • A letter explaining why you are interested in consulting, and McKinsey Angola in particular
  • Your curriculum vitae, covering your academic career, internships, professional experience, stays abroad, extracurricular activities, and hobbies

We accept applications for consulting positions all year round.

Step 2: Problem-solving test

The documentation you send will allow us to decide how to go about your process. As a first step, you will be invited to take a test and to participate in a set of individual interviews with various consultants representing a broad and diversified experience.

The purpose of this test is to assess the specific problem-solving skills that we consider key to a successful career at McKinsey. The test, which takes about 75 minutes, does not require a specific academic or professional background. The use of calculators or computers during the test is not allowed.

Step 3: The interview process

The goal of the interviewing process, during which you will meet some of our consultants, is twofold:

  1. McKinsey will learn more about your skills and experiences, so we can identify the viability of pursuing a professional career with us.
  2. you will know exactly what we do and who we are, which will allow you to make an educated decision on whether to pursue a professional career with us.

In each interview, we will ask you to solve a case study. In the end of the interviewing process, you will receive feedback from the interviewers and information on the next steps.
