Examples of Our Work - Entrepreneurialism Thrives in a “Big Company” Culture

A telecom company in Europe had an abundance of creative brainpower, but massive workloads left its managers with little time or incentive to explore new ideas that could grow into core businesses.

Entrepreneurial spirit
Our team recommended that the company create a corporate venture capital group to fully exploit its professional talent, help its engineers advance ideas, and accelerate new technologies.

Recognizing that this would require an entrepreneurial approach at odds with the client's "big company" culture, we helped the company identify and develop leaders who could manage a fast-moving group.

New ideas
Since its establishment, the new unit has launched several successful products and businesses, including bar-code scanners, telecommunications-network algorithms, features for telecommunications hardware and software, and new telecom service capabilities.
