About John
John Copeland co-leads McKinsey’s Consumer & Shopper Insights group. He serves clients across a range of consumer-facing verticals with a specific focus in the retail, packaged goods, high-tech, financial services, and healthcare industries.
He has over 15 years of experience in helping clients generate and leverage consumer insights to improve their business performance. John co-developed McKinsey’s insight-driven approach to developing brand and portfolio strategies. Prior to joining McKinsey, John built consumer analytics and insight practices for a number of professional service firms in the marketing field including Prophet.
John is on the board of the Marketing Science Institute.
